Many wireless security devices (such as door contacts, window contacts, motion detectors, glass break detectors) are powered by lithium batteries. Pictured below are the two most common 3.6V examples. Their part numbers are: LS 14250 and LS 14500.
Recent government legislation has limited the availability of this battery type. Retailers who were once able to sell replacements to security customers may no longer be able to supply this service. As a result, Chubb Edwards clients who prefer to change depleted batteries themselves may experience difficulty in finding new ones.
To accommodate our customers requiring replacement batteries, Chubb Edwards has established a special, low-cost program. Three options in resolving low battery issues:
1. Visit your local Chubb Edwards office during normal business hours. There, you may purchase batteries for a nominal fee charged to your Chubb Edwards account. Please call ahead to confirm hours and availability prior to your visit. Click here for your branch list.
2. Call your local Chubb Edwards office to arrange for a visit by a Chubb Edwards service professional who will replace the depleted battery for you. Note that a normal call-out and service rates apply. Click here for your branch list.
3. Have replacement batteries sent to your premises by courier. A nominal battery cost and shipping and handling fee will appear on your Chubb Edwards account. Please complete the form below (we will contact you to confirm total cost including shipping before your order is processed): all fields are required
Please note: For homes with multiple devices, it is common for batteries to fail within the same time frame. As a result, you may want to consider ordering additional batteries for future replacement. It is very important that you remove the battery from the device before ordering so it can be replaced with the right battery. See Batteries below for a comparison?
