IP (Internet Protocol) video solutions use network connectivity to capture, transmit and store video.  Use of established networks can avoid the need for new wiring, often simplifying the installation and expansion process.

IP-based recording systems use network video recorders (NVRs) to retain recorded video.  Live video and recordings can be accessed and viewed from any computer connected to the network.  IP video solutions also allow for the use of both conventional cameras and megapixel cameras.  Megapixel cameras have the capability of recording at very high resolution, yielding exceptional detail in recorded imagery.  Video analytics, using advanced embedded algorithms to identify unwanted motion or other behaviour in a camera’s field of view, can readily be added to IP video solutions.
